According to the Kentucky Center for Statistics, Wayne County’s unemployment rate (tied with McCreary County) for the highest in our ten-county area. The local rate was at 5.9% while Cumberland county’s rate was the lowest at 3.7%.
Russell County’s unemployment rate was 3.9 percent.
Pulaski County’s unemployment rate came in at 4.5 percent,
Adair County at 4.6 percent,
Casey County at 5 percent.
Clinton County’s unemployment rate was 5.3 percent.
