The Monticello City Council met in special session Tuesday evening at City Hall with the 2nd reading of City tax rates on the agenda.
The rates set are lower than last years rates.
Real estate would be 11.7 per $100 of assessed value. Personal and tangible rates would be 14.56 which would be slightly lower as well. Vehicle and watercraft rates would be the same at 22.5.
The meeting will be held at 6pm.
