This year’s Cornbread Festival will take place on Saturday, August 31st, at Mill Springs Mill in Monticello, KY.
The festival will begin at 9:00 am and food will be available at 11:00am.
The mill will be operating throughout the festival and the event will feature vendors, homemade food, mill tours, and a cornbread baking competition.
Lunch: $10/plate – all you can eat.
Menu – Soup beans (cooked onsite in 100-gallon cast iron pot), fried potatoes, cornbread, dessert, water.
Cornbread Baking Contest:
No cost to enter.
A plate with the competitor’s name and phone number must be entered by 9:00 am.
Competitors may enter any, or all, of three categories (sweet, savory, traditional).
Judges will select winners based on taste and presentation.
The winner of each category will receive a $50.00 cash prize and a State Fair-style ribbon.
