(WKYT) – A fifth person has been arrested in connection with the murder of a Pulaski County woman.
The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office said that a fourth male teenager was arrested on Friday and charged with murder in the death of 70-year-old Sherri Mitko.
The sheriff’s office said that the teen had been in custody since the early stages of the investigation on an unrelated matter.
Mitko was found dead from multiple gunshot wounds in her Lower Line Creek Road residence on Aug. 12.

The first two teen boys charged with murder in the case were arrested on Aug. 16, and another was arrested on Aug. 19.
The only adult charged, 20-year-old McCoy Chaney, insisted in an interview with WKYT that he was ignorant of the teens’ intent to allegedly kill Mitko and was only giving them a ride. Chaney is lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center on a $1.5 million bond.
