(WKYT) – UPDATE: A man was arrested after allegedly attempting to break into a home off of Philpot Road in Laurel County.
Jonathon Vaughn, 34, was charged with third-degree attempted burglary and first-degree criminal mischief. According to the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office, Vaughn was identified after surveillance photos of the alleged incident were shared.
Vaughn is accused of breaking out windows and damaging an HVAC system while attempting to break into a home, the sheriff’s office said.
The sheriff’s office arrested Vaughn on Monday. Aug. 3, and he was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.

A burglary and vandalism was reported at a home near Philpot Road on Aug. 2.
