📸 Free Back-to-School Photos
- Date: Tuesday, July 23
- Time: 5:00 PM
- Location: Wayne County Public Library Students of any age can receive one free photo taken and edited by members of the WCPL Photography Club.
🎒 Carry Kindness Back-to-School Bash
- Date: Friday, July 24
- Time: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
- Location: Cardinal Community Mental Health, 470 N. Main St., Monticello A limited number of free backpacks will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Lunch will be provided, including a turkey sandwich, chips, a drink, and a snack cake.
🚗 Drive-Thru School Supplies Giveaway
- Date: Friday, July 24
- Time: 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM
- Location: Bell Elementary (enter from Wayne County High School) Open to all K–12 students living in Wayne County. Over 600 bags of school supplies will be distributed, and each student will receive a meal from the Wayne County School Food Program. Presented by Defensive Action Against Drugs and Operation UNITE.
🎉 Back-to-School Bash
- Date: Thursday, August 1
- Time: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Location: Monticello–Wayne Memorial Park Families can enjoy inflatables, a dunking booth, games, free food and drinks, and school supplies. Sponsored by local businesses and organizations, the event celebrates community spirit and the start of a new school year.
