(WKYT) – A law that will reshape sports and horse race betting is taking effect Wednesday.
House Bill 904 legalizes fixed odds wagering on horse racing, meaning bettors will be allowed to lock in their payout odds when placing a bet.
The Kentucky Lottery and Kentucky Horse Racing and Gaming Corporation will be allowed to file some regulations without governor review or signature under the new law.
The law prohibits people on the attorney general’s child support arrearage list from placing online bets.
