(WKYT) – A Tuesday morning fire displaced a Laurel County family.
The East Bernstadt Fire Department received a dispatch at 10:39 a.m. about a structure fire on Little Arthur Ridge Road with reports that a child was trapped inside the residence.
When crews arrived at the scene, they were informed that the child was no longer in the residence before they got there and was thankfully not injured.
All the other occupants got out of the residence unharmed.
Unfortunately, the residence suffered major damage, and the family will be displaced, but they are receiving assistance from the American Red Cross.
