Middle school students have participated in our version of Cupcake Wars. Each group had to plan with their own cupcake flavors and icing. Each was given the choice of a plain vanilla or chocolate cake mix in which they had to add their twist. They not only baked and decorated their cupcakes but also created a presentation to share with a panel of judges. Each cupcake was judged on appearance, taste, texture, theme and presentation.
