(WKYT) – The Federal Emergency Management Agency announced that Kentucky will receive $10.6 million to support 38 disaster-affected community projects.
The Kentucky Department of Transportation will receive $1.3 million for debris removal, emergency protective measures and road damage sustained during severe weather and flooding last February.
The Laurel County Fiscal Court will receive $1.4 million for road damage caused by severe storms, flooding and tornadoes last May.
London Corbin Airport is set to receive $503,000 to fund building and equipment repairs following severe storms and tornadoes last year.
FEMA is reimbursing these recovery costs at no less than a 75% federal cost share through its Public Assistance program, which provides funds for state and local governments’ response and recovery work.
