(Gray News- WKYT) – Ford has recalled 4,600 vehicles and is warning owners to stop driving them immediately.
According to the recall, the lower control arm ball joint may have been incorrectly installed or repaired, and as a result, the control arm could disconnect from the front wheel knuckle.

This could lead to an almost immediate crash.
The impacted vehicles are certain Ford Bronco Sport models from model years 2021 to 2026 and Ford Mavericks from 2022 to 2026.
Ford dealerships will inspect the recalled vehicles and make necessary repairs at no cost.
Notice letters will be sent to owners by June 5.
It is unclear how owners are advised to get their vehicles to a dealership under a “do not drive” warning.
