(WKYT) – Gov. Andy Beshear endorsed former federal prosecutor Zach Dembo in the race to replace Andy Barr in Kentucky’s Sixth Congressional District on Tuesday.
Dembo previously served as an aide to Beshear.
“I got to work closely with Zach Dembo when he was in my administration and I assure you he’s the kind of person that will lead with conviction, character, and competence,”Beshear said. “As Kentuckians struggle with the rising cost of living, we need more public servants who will put people over their party and focus on getting things done for the great folks of our Commonwealth, and I know he’s the type of nominee that can flip this seat.”
