(WKYT) – A new exhibit featuring Kentucky women in aviation will open to the public Tuesday.
The Aviation Museum of Kentucky held a private ribbon cutting ceremony Monday.
The exhibit highlights the achievements and contributions of women across Kentucky who have shaped the aviation industry as pilots, engineers, innovators and leaders.

“This hanger is full of stories of people who took the leap. People who challenged limitations and pushed past doubt and expanded whatever others believed was possible,” said the museum’s executive director, Tristen Chesser.
The exhibit aims to inspire the next generation to explore careers in aerospace and aviation.
The museum is open Tuesdays through Sundays.
