(WYMT) -Kentucky State Police arrested a Clay County man Wednesday on charges related to child sexual abuse material.
William David Sizemore, 20, was arrested April 9 at approximately 11:28 a.m. by the KSP Electronic Crime Branch.
Sizemore was arrested as the result of an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation. The KSP Electronic Crime Branch began the investigation after discovering the suspect sharing images of child sexual exploitation online.
The investigation resulted in a search warrant at a residence in Manchester on April 9. Equipment used to facilitate the crime was seized and taken to KSP’s forensic laboratory for examination.
Sizemore is charged with one count of procuring or promoting the use of a minor by electronic means, a Class-C felony punishable by five to ten years in prison. He also faces one count of sodomy 1st degree, one count of rape 1st degree and one count of promoting a minor under sixteen years old in a sex performance. The latter three charges are Class-B felonies punishable by ten to twenty years in prison.
Sizemore was taken to the Clay County Detention Center.
