(WKYT) – Kentucky guard Collin Chandler has entered the NCAA transfer portal, according to multiple reports.
Chandler, a sophomore from Farmington, Utah, led the Wildcats with 73 made 3-pointers this past season and shot 41% from 3-point range.
Chandler was Mark Pope’s first recruit after Pope was hired at Kentucky, following the coach from BYU after originally committing there. Chandler, a former top-35 recruit, previously stepped away from basketball to serve a two-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Chandler entered the portal with a “do not contact” designation, a tag that can signal a player may already be focused on a specific destination.
Chandler is one of several Kentucky players to enter the portal, joining Mouhamed Dioubate, Jaland Lowe, Andrija Jelavic, Jasper Johnson, Brandon Garrison and Denzel Aberdeen.
