Human remains found in Rowan County identified through DNA analysis

(WKYT) – Human remains found in Rowan County have been identified.

The skeletal remains were found on April 19, 2025, by a man hiking with his son in Rowan County.

The remains were transported to the Kentucky State Police Forensic Laboratory for examination and DNA testing.

The State Medical Examiner’s Office identified the remains through DNA analysis as Cameron Lee Boling, of Rowan County.

The Rowan County Coroner’s Office says that the investigation into the circumstances surrounding Boling’s death remains ongoing.

Additional skeletal remains were recovered in Rowan County.
