(WYMT) -Baptist Health Corbin held a topping out ceremony for its new patient wing, marking the placement of the final steel beam on the structure.
Hospital leaders, elected officials, physicians, staff, construction partners and community members gathered on campus to celebrate the progress and thank the people behind the work.
The new patient wing is designed around patients and families, with more modern, healing-focused space to improve comfort, privacy and access to care. Baptist Health leaders said the project is a long-term investment in rural healthcare, aimed at expanding capacity and keeping high-quality care and jobs in the Corbin area.
