On March 25, 2026, at approximately 6:38 a.m., Clinton County Dispatch received a report of a structure fire at 1175 Koger Mountain Road. The Albany Fire Department and Clinton County EMS responded to the scene.
Upon arrival, fire department personnel discovered two individuals in the rear bedroom of the residence. Both individuals were pronounced deceased at the scene. Their identities are currently unknown and are being listed as Jane Doe and John Doe pending identification.
Law enforcement was requested, and an investigation was initiated. The Kentucky State Fire Marshal’s Office was called to assist with determining the cause of the fire.
At this preliminary stage, the cause of the fire remains under investigation. No foul play is suspected at this time. The deceased has been transported to the State Forensic Pathologist for further examination.
The investigation is ongoing in coordination with the State Fire Marshal’s Office and the Clinton County Coroner’s Office.
