Officer Jacob “Jake” Thomas was sworn-in this past Saturday afternoon by Mayor Kenny Catron and becomes the newest member of the Monticello Police Department.
Officer Thomas previously served seven years with the Winder, GA Police Department obtaining the rank of Corporal while serving in various roles.
He and his family recently purchased a home and property in Wayne County.
Officer Thomas’ field-training begins immediately with other members of MPD.
