Charges are Expected in Mid Week Crash

According to Wayne County Sheriff Tim Catron on March 12, 2025, at approximately 3:45 pm the Wayne County Sheriff Office, Monticello Fire Department and the Wayne County Emergency Medical Services were dispatched to Kentucky Highway 3106 after receiving a report of a vehicle running through a residence. Upon arrival it was learned that the vehicle had not entered but had detached the front porch from the residence. It appeared the vehicle was traveling east on Highway 3106 and when the driver lost control leaving the highway on the opposite side then striking the residence. One person was inside the residence when the accident occurred but was not injured. A 29-year-old female from Monticello was treated at the scene by Emergency Medical Services and then transported to the Wayne County Hospital. The female was later transferred to the University of Kentucky Hospital by Air-E-Vac Helicopter Services for further treatment.
The accident investigation is continuing by Wayne County Sheriff Office Deputy James Barnett with possible pending charges.
