The Wayne County Sheriff Office would like to acknowledge and thank Point Blank Enterprises. Point Bank Enterprises is one of the leading companies in the world to manufacture ballistic vests that are commonly worn by law enforcement officers. On December 9th and the 10th Point Blank Enterprises recognized Wayne County Sheriff Office Deputy Cody Neal along with seventeen other law enforcement officers across the United States that were wearing Point Blank Enterprises ballistic vest when each of them were shot in the line of duty. This recognition took place in Pompano, Florida where these ballistic vests are manufactured. All expenses were paid by Point Blank Enterprises, including airfares, hotel accommodations, meals, ECT. All eighteen of these Law Enforcement Officers were given a dinner cruise on December 9th, then on December 10th were given a tour of the factory that makes these ballistic vests including a demonstration on the technology / design, performance and the manufacturing process. During the tour of the facility Deputy Neal was able to talk with and personally thank these hard-working workers for helping to save his life when he was shot in the line of duty on March 18, 2024.
Sheriff Catron would also thank Point Blank Enterprises for their dedication to law enforcement as well as each of the Wayne County Sheriff Office Deputies for their willingness to provide 24-hours, 365 days a year of service without knowing what their next call for service will bring.
