At 2:32 PM Monticello Fire Department was dispatched and responded to a motor vehicle collision on Hwy 776 approximately 1.5 miles from the E Hwy 92 intersection. Wayne County Sheriff’s Office deputy and Fire personnel arrived on scene. Fire personnel-initiated CPR prior to arrival of Wayne County EMS. Wayne County EMS transported the patient to Wayne County Hospital. The Wayne County Coroner’s Office responded and pronounced a 63-year-old man deceased. No other details released.
