The City of Monticello is hiring an ABC and Code Enforcement Officer!
Class Title: Alcoholic Beverage Control Administrator
Pay Range: Starting at $35,000/annually (Based on experience)
Characteristics of the class: Under limited supervision, enforce the requirements for licensing and regulation, manufacturing, and sale of alcohol in the City of Monticello.
Examples of Duties: hold and possess the same duties and functions regarding local license applications and renewals as the state Department of Alcohol Control for state licenses. The City ABC administrator shall have the same duties and functions regarding local license penalization as the Alcoholic Beverage Control Board with respect to state license penalization. Issue licenses to vendors, manufacturers, and events, as well as recordkeeping of all alcohol sales in the City of Monticello with monthly reports.
Desirable Qualifications: Graduate from an accredited high school or its equivalent (GED),
Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of clerical methods used in keeping fiscal accounts and records. Ability to type. Ability to make quick, accurate mathematical calculations and handle money efficiently. Ability to exercise sound judgment, courtesy, and tact in dealings with the public. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, officials, and the public.
