Monticello Police Chief, Joey Hoover reports recent arrests by the Police Department.
Destiny Fenner & Alexis Faye Claywell, both 19 from Albany, were arrested Saturday, November 2nd, 3:20 p.m. at Walmart. Both were charged with Theft by Unlawful Taking $500-$1,000 (shoplifting). The arrests were made by Walmart Loss Prevention Officers, MPD Major Josh Asberry and MPD Sgt. Josh Smith.
Jason Bell, 45, of Monticello, was arrested Sunday, November 3rd, at 6:30 p.m. during a traffic stop on KY 90. Bell was taken into custody by MPD Officer Casey Lang on a total of five warrants from Wayne Circuit and Wayne District Courts for Bail Jumping and Failure to Appear in Court.
Michael Lopez, 31, of Monticello, was served with a criminal complaint warrant at 2:45 a.m. Thursday, November 7th, at the Wayne County Detention Center. Lopez is charged with Assault 2nd Degree, accused of causing serious physical injury to another inmate at the Wayne County Detention Center. The warrant was obtained by WCSO Deputy Valis Smedley and was served by MPD Officer Brandon Bertram.
All four were processed and lodged in the Wayne County Detention Center.
