MONTICELLO, Ky. (WKYT) – A storm hit the Conley Bottom Resort in Wayne County over the weekend.
We’re that Saturday’s storm caused “quite a bit of damage,” leaving part of the resort without water or electricity and damaging some piers.
Office manager Amber Rector says they had just finished other repairs last week following damage from a tornado on Memorial Day weekend when his round of weather came through.
“It’s always a scary experience. You never know what’s going to happen, but we’re so thankful for the crew that we had and the fast reaction time that they always provide and work to keep everyone safe,” Rector said.
“We just keep repairing things as we go and just keep thanking our customers, mainly,” said Piercy.
We’re told the resort stayed open during the repairs.
In 2019, the marina was also severely damaged by a fire.
