(WKYT) – A semi-trailer caught fire on I-75 in Rockcastle County on Thursday afternoon, prompting a response from multiple fire departments, according to East Bernstadt Fire & Rescue.
The Mount Vernon Fire Department requested aid for the fire at 2:59 p.m. near mile marker 53 on the northbound side of the interstate due to the size of the fire and the need for a sustained water supply.
The trailer contained non-hazardous laminate flooring materials, according to the Mount Vernon Fire Department.
The Brodhead Fire Department also assisted at the scene.
No injuries were reported.
The fire’s origin has not been released.
