Mr. John Woodrow Gregory of Albany, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2026, at Harmony House in Byrdstown, Tennessee having attained the age of 77 years, 7 months, and 9 days. He was born on Wednesday, March 9, 1949, in the Parmleysville Community of Wayne County, Kentucky, the son of William Riley and Betty (West) Gregory He was of the Christian faith and a member of the Bethel United Baptist Church since 1965, worked as a lineman for many years in Wayne and surrounding counties. Woodrow enjoyed working, fishing, hunting and listening to Bluegrass music. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Howard C. Gregory, Ruby Gregory, 4 half-brothers and 4 half-sisters, sisters-in-law, Betty Gregory and Ina Gregory, brother-in-law Rondle BellHe is survived by his wife, Ina (Braswell) Gregory of Albany, Kentucky, siblings Kenneth (& Virginia) Gregory, Lonzo Gregory all of Monticello and Anna Ruth Bell of Indiana. Several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
The funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, October 22, 2026, at 1:00 P.M. e.s.t. in the Memory Chapel of New’s Monticello Funeral Home, with Bro. Doug Kidd officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in the Parmleysville community of Wayne County, Kentucky. The family will receive friends after 11:00 a.m. e.s.t. at New’s Monticello until the funeral hour.
