Mr. Larry Kenneth Thrasher, age 76, passed away Wednesday, August 27, 2026. He was born November 7, 1949, in Clinton County, Kentucky, the son of the late John & Ruth (Upchurch) Thrasher.
Larry was of the Methodist faith, a member of Peolia Methodist Church, and attended Maupin Church in Albany, Kentucky. He worked on a dairy farm, and as a bus driver for many years. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, farming and go-kart racing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant sister, Emma Thrasher; a cousin, Carla Craighead; and a son-in-law, Marlon Madison.
He is survived by his wife, Shelia (Brown) Thrasher, whom he married December 31, 1980; his daughter, Deana Michelle (Thrasher) Madison; and special friends, Steve Jones, Delmar Vitatoe, and Glen Brummett, Robert Hicks, Buddy Brown, Paul Brown & Margerett, Gene Ferguson, Roger & Sherry Owens, Peal Ferguson, and his fur baby, Mila.
A memorial service will be held at Maupin Church on Saturday, September 5, 2026 from 1-3pm.
