(WKYT) – The National Weather Service bureau in Jackson had trouble issuing warnings as storms moved across Eastern Kentucky, according to a social media post.
The NWS advised anyone in Hazard, Jackson, Pikeville and Whitesburg to seek shelter immediately as a dangerous line of storms moves through the area.
A neighboring office has taken over issuing warnings.
