(WKYT) – 2025 was a record-breaking year for tourism in Pulaski County.
According to the Somerset-Pulaski County Convention & Visitors Bureau, visitors spent $152.7 million last year.
Tourism created 1,133 jobs and produced $11.5 million in local tax revenue, according to research released by the Kentucky Department of Tourism.
Local officials said that tourism continues to be a blessing for the area’s economy.
“Tourism continues to be one of Pulaski County’s most important economic drivers, and these numbers demonstrate the real impact visitors have on our community,” said Michelle Allen, the executive director of Lake Cumberland tourism. “Every dollar spent by a visitor helps lower tax costs for residents, supports local businesses, creates jobs and helps strengthen the quality of life our people enjoy.”
