(WKYT) – Rescue crews from the Brodhead Fire Department in Rockcastle County saved someone after they became stuck between two rock formations.
A person was unable to escape the narrow space between the rocks at Paint Rock on Burnt Bridge Road, and crews had to plan a high-angle rope rescue to save them.
The rescue was successful and no injuries were reported. The Brodhead Fire Department says a situation like this highlights the importance of specialized training, and mutual aid partnerships between local fire departments.
The Climax Fire Department and Mount Vernon Fire Department aided in the rescue.
