(WBKO/WKYT) – A Bowling Green man is facing an attempted fetal homicide charge, after Kentucky State Police say a pregnant woman reported her prescription medication had been replaced.
According to KSP Post 3, troopers were contacted around 7:30 a.m. Monday by a woman from Glasgow. Police say, she told investigators her boyfriend, 26-year-old Abdulah Mohmand, of Bowling Green, had allegedly replaced her prescription medication with an unknown medication.
The woman told police she was pregnant and was concerned about the safety of her unborn child.
Following an investigation, police obtained a search warrant for Mohmand’s residence. During the search, investigators said, they found medication that matched the unknown medication discovered at the woman’s home.
Mohmand was arrested and charged with attempted fetal homicide. He was taken to the Barren County Detention Center.
Kentucky State Police say the investigation remains ongoing.
