WKYT) – Thousands of dollars worth of gold and jewelry was stolen from a home in Rockcastle County, according to the Rockcastle County Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff’s office said they are investigating a residential burglary where large amounts of gold and silver bars, coins and other items were stolen.

$750,000 worth of gold and $100,000 worth of jewelry were stolen, according to the Rockcastle County sheriff.
According to an arrest warrant a woman told police that “some one had entered her home and taken $750,000 in coins, gold and silver bars, 7 to 10 guns, and $100,000 in jewelry.”
The warrant states that William Daniel Martin told police that a homeowner had hired him and another person to move property from her home to one in another town.
The sheriff said two arrests have been made in connection to the burglary, Martin and Kristopher Fletcher.
Martin is in the Rockcastle County Detention Center and Fletcher is in the Boyle County jail.
The two are currently facing charges for receiving stolen property worth $10,000 or more.
Officials say more arrests are possible.
