According to Wayne County Sheriff Tim Catron a Monticello man has been arrested on multiple felony charges after an ongoing issues with a family member.
On January 28, 2026, the family member filed for and received an Interpersonal Violence Protection Order for the Monticello man. Wayne County Sheriff Office Deputy James Barnett along with Sheriff Catron served the male with that order that same day. On February 10, 2026 the brother and sister appeared in Wayne County Family Court with the Family Court Judge dismissing the protection order. On February 18, 2026, the sister filed a criminal complaint with the Sheriff Office about her brother continuously harassing her in numerous ways and had also made threats to her since the dismissal of that order. On February 18, 2026, a Wayne County District Court Criminal Complaint Warrant of Arrest was obtained for the brother through Wayne County Attorney Tom Simmons. Several Wayne County Sheriff Office Deputies were unable to locate him through the evening hours.
On February 19, 2026, at 8:35 am Deputy Joe Horne made contact with the brother then served the Criminal Complaint Warrant of Arrest. Cody Keith of Monticello, KY. was charged and arrested for 4 counts of wanton endangerment-1st degree, criminal mischief-1st degree, terroristic threatening-3rd degree and using flashing lights/siren on a non-emergency vehicle.
Keith was lodged in the Wayne County Detention Center on a $25,000.00 Cash or 2 times Property Bond.
