Settlement Approved at Council Meeting

The Monticello City Council met Thursday in special session.  Following an executive session, the council voted 2-2 on a motion to grant a one time settlement to two Monticello Fire Department staff for work beyond their schedule.  Council members Sexton, and Hopper voting yes with Vaughn, and Chaplin voting no.  Mayor Kenny Catron broke the tie by voting yes to make the settlement totaling $23,712 to Fire Chief, Gabe Heatherly & former assistant chief Byron Gregory.
