According to Wayne County Sheriff Tim Catron a residential cabin burglary investigation has led to the arrest of a Wayne County man.
On October 10, 2025, Wayne County Sheriff Office Deputy Brad Tucker was notified by the residential cabin owner about his remote cabin being burglarized. The cabin had multiple security cameras in use at the time of the burglary which was key in this investigation. After obtaining video of the crime Deputy Tucker began his investigation. Through his investigation Deputy Tucker was able to identify clearly two suspects. Deputy Tucker along with Deputy Casey Lang located one of the suspects at his residence. While approaching the front pouch area Deputy Lang observed several of the items that was believed to have been taken during the burglary in plain view. While speaking to the suspect he admitted to the burglary and confirmed who the second suspect was. The suspect also revealed where the other items were taken too.
On October 14, 2025, Deputy Tucker obtained a Wayne County District Court Complaint Warrant of Arrest for Ricky Cross Sr. of Monticello, KY. Deputy Tucker located Cross at approximately 9:23 pm and placed him under arrest for burglary-2nd degree and criminal mischief-1st degree.
Cross was lodged in the Wayne County Detention Center.
The investigation is continuing with more arrest pending.

Charish Gronbach of Monticello, KY. was arrested on a Wayne County Family Court Commitment Order of Arrest for failure to pay child support following a Contempt Order.
Ernesto Diaz of Monticello, Ky. was arrested on a Wayne County Family Court Forthwith Order of Arrest for violation of the terms or conditions of an Order or Judgement of this Court.
Robert Cambell of Monticello, KY. was arrested on a Wayne County Family Court Forthwith Order of Arrest for violation of the terms or conditions of an Order or Judgement of this Court of this Court.
Gronbach, Diaz and Campbell were lodged in the Wayne County Detention Center.
