Monticello Police Recent Arrests

Chief Joey Hoover reports several recent arrests.

Robert Hernandez, 63, of Monticello, was arrested Friday (May 9) at 3:43 p.m. at Walmart by Officer Mike Neal. Hernandez was charged with Theft by Unlawful Taking (shoplifting) and was served with a probation violation warrant.
Donald Stamper, 46, of Monticello, was arrested Friday (May 9) at 7:15 p.m. on Vine Street by Sgt. Josh Smith and Officer Brandon Bertram. Stamper was charged with Theft of Mail Matter and also served with several warrants: Criminal Possession of Forged Instrument, non-payment of court courts, failure to appear/pay restitution and failure to appear/pay child support.
James Cowan, 58, of Monticello, was served with a warrant Friday (May 9) at 7:45 p.m. at the Wayne County Detention Center for non-payment of court costs, fees or fines.
Starr Godsey, 23, of Monticello, was arrested Saturday (May 10) at 2:05 a.m. on West Columbia Avenue by Officer Brandon Bertram. Godsey was charged with Alcohol Intoxication in a Public Place.
William Bertram, 39, of Monticello, was arrested Sunday (May 11) at 5:25 p.m. on North Second Street by Chief Joey Hoover and Officer Jason Guffey. Bertram was taken into custody on a Wayne Circuit Court warrant for failure to pay child support.
Brittany Henry, 39, of Smithville, TN, was arrested Sunday (May 11) at 10:25 p.m. on West Columbia Avenue by Officer Casey Lang. Henry was charged with Public Intoxication.
Tiffany Perkins, 32, of Stearns, was arrested Tuesday (May 13) at 5:55 p.m. in Cumberland Crossing by Officer Casey Lang. Perkins was charged with Burglary 3rd Degree in connection to shoplifting at Walmart after having been trespassed from Walmart on two previous dates. Perkins was also served with a warrant for non-payment of court costs, fees or fines in McCreary District Court.
All individuals were processed and lodged in the Wayne County Detention Center.
