According to Wayne County Sheriff Tim Catron another domestic violence complaint has resulted in a Monticello man being arrested.
On February 19, 2025, at approximately 6:15 pm, Deputies Valis Smedley and Brad Tucker were dispatched to Kentucky Highway 1546 for a complaint of a domestic violence complaint occurring on the roadway. Before their arrival off duty Deputy James Barnett drove up behind the vehicle and observed the male suspect swinging his arms and screaming at a female inside the vehicle. Deputy Barnett approached the vehicle and observed the female victim as having injuries and detained the male for Deputies Smedley and Tucker. The Wayne County Emergency Medial Service was then dispatched to the scene. The female refused treatment.
Deputy Smedley charged and arrested Jeffrey Young of Monticello, KY. for assault-4th degree (minor injury) and driving on a suspended or revoked operator’s license.
Young was lodged in the Wayne County Detention Center.
The Wayne County Sheriff Office also arrested the following.
Austin T. Boston of Monticello, KY. was arrested on 2 Wayne County District Court Warrants of Arrest for failure to pay or show cause on the underlying charges of non-payment of court costs, fees or fines, operating on a suspended or revoked operator’s license and leaving the scene of an accident-failure to render aid.
Alisa Sanders of Monticello, KY. was arrested on a Pulaski County District Court Warrant of Arrest for failure to appear for Arraignment on the underlying charges of failure of operating on a suspended or revoked operator’s license, failure of non-owner operator to maintain required insurance and a traffic violation.
Boston and Sanders were lodged in the Wayne County Detention Center.
