For the first time, both city and county tax bills have been collected this season by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
Holiday office hours:
Closing at noon on December 31st and all day on January 1st for New Year.
We will still allow payment on property tax bill at face value on January 2nd in person and postmark only. The 5% penalty will go on the tax bills on January 3rd. Please note: If you plan to pay online you will have to pay before midnight on December 31st as the system will recognize the 5% penalty beginning on January 1, 2025.
