We share MPD’s activity report to help you have a better understanding of the number and types of calls our officers respond to daily. This serves as a quick overview of the previous date’s calls for service. It does not include every detail related to each incident or traffic stop.
5:30 a.m. – Traffic stop Hardee’s parking lot. Citation issued.
6:30 a.m. – Church security checks overnight: Journey Community Church, Little Community Baptist and World Wide Ministries. All secure, no issues discovered.
7:17 a.m. – Request to talk with officer at MPD.
7:41 a.m. – Request for extra patrol Frisby Street.
11:04 a.m. – 911 hang-up call from residence on Fair Street. Officer responded. Children playing with cell phone.
12:23 p.m. –Foot patrol Walmart.
2:51 p.m. – Follow-up investigation on Daffron Street.
3:08 p.m. – Request to speak with officer at MPD regarding vandalism to vehicle in Walmart parking lot.
3:26 p.m. – Request to speak with officer at MPD regarding well-being check.
4:41 p.m. – Request for officer at residence on Fair Street. Caller reporting child abuse. Investigation initiated. CPS also responded.
5:15 p.m. – Officers out at residence on Walnut Street. Arrest made in child abuse investigation.
5:28 p.m. – Complaint of female out-of-control attempting to damage vehicle on Elm Street. Arrest made on active warrant.
6:15 p.m. – Alarm activated on Canary Lane. House/garage appeared secure.
9:45 p.m. – Request for officer on Canary Lane. Caller reports seeing someone with flashlight in back yard. Area checked, negative contact with anyone.
10:22 p.m. – Foot patrol Walmart.
11:17 p.m. – Traffic stop KY 90 East. Driver checked okay.
11:42 p.m. – Complaint of female “throwing stuff” at caller’s vehicle on Elm Street.
11:50 p.m. – MPD/MFD responded to trampoline on fire on Allen Street. Ongoing investigation.
11:59 p.m. – Complaint of two individuals “screaming at stop sign and at each other” at the intersection of South Second Street & College Street. One arrest made.
