At approximately 6:56 p.m. Thursday (Oct 31) a two-vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of North Main Street and the KY 90 bypass at stop light #1.
Sgt. Josh Smith’s investigation determined a 2006 Chevrolet SUV driven by Jimmy Humble, 79, of Monticello was traveling eastbound on KY 90 when a 2014 Kia driven by Brooklynn Hathaway, 28, of Somerset attempted to turn from the westbound lane of the KY 90 bypass onto North Main Street, pulling into the path of Hollars’ vehicle resulting in the head-on collision.
Hathaway was transported by the Wayne County EMS to the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital for treatment and observation. A one-year-old child passenger in Hathaway’s vehicle was taken by family to the Wayne County Hospital for examination and observation. A two-year-old child passenger appeared to be uninjured. Hollars was not injured.
