According to Wayne County Sheriff Tim Catron a Wayne County man has been arrested after a vehicle traffic stop during a drug investigation.
While on patrol Deputy Smedley met a person of interest traveling on Kentucky Highway 1275 South. Deputy Smedley then conducted a traffic stop on that vehicle to further his investigation. After explaining the reason for the traffic stop permission was obtained to conduct a search of the person and his vehicle. This search resulted in 2 glass smoking pipes commonly used with illegal narcotics and 2 small bags of a crystal substance known to be methamphetamine inside a container hidden in his underwear. Other small pieces of crystal substance were found along with 1 full and ½ piece of an orange tablet known to be Suboxone.
Deputy Smedley charged and arrested Justin Dobbs of Monticello, KY. for possession of a controlled substance-1st degree (methamphetamine), possession of a controlled substance-2nd degree (drug unspecified), possession of drug paraphernalia and prescription of a controlled substance not in a proper container.
Dobbs was lodged in the Wayne County Detention Center
