Monticello Fire Department responded to 3 calls for service on Saturday. All three were motor vehicle collisions.
#1 At 11:07 AM fire personnel responded to a single vehicle incident on Hwy 167. The vehicle was on its top and leaking gasoline onto the roadway. 167 was closed for the duration of the incident to allow for clean-up.
#2 At 2:27 PM the department was dispatched to a two vehicle collision on Hwy 1275 North. Fire personnel assisted in clearing the roadway and scene safety.
#3 At 9:08 PM firefighters were dispatched to an injury accident on E Hwy 90 near Trifecta. A vehicle collided with a deer and caused three occupants to be transported by Wayne County EMS.
