According to Wayne County Sheriff Tim Catron his office has made another drug trafficking arrest.
On February 13, 2020 at 9:45 pm, Deputies Brent Rose and Derek Dennis conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling West on Columbia Avenue in Monticello. The traffic stop led Deputy Dennis to charged and arrest Angela K. Patrick of Monticello, Ky. on multiply drug related charges including possession of a controlled substance-1st degree (drug unspecified), possession of a controlled substance-1st degree (methamphetamine), possession of a controlled substance-2nd degree (unspecified), prescription of a controlled substance not in a proper container and for a traffic violation. Patrick was also charged for promoting contraband-1st degree while being lodged at the Wayne County Detention Center when Patrick was found trying to hide a controlled substance that she had on her person.
Additional charges were levied at 12:05 am Friday morning, Deputies Derek Dennis, Brent Rose and Brad Tucker executed a search warrant at a residence located at 88 Lincoln Avenue in Monticello. The deputies were following up on a drug trafficking tip and information obtained from Patrick’s arrest. This information led them to obtain a search warrant. Upon executing the search warrant deputies seized methamphetamine, prescription drugs, marijuana, digital scales, drug paraphernalia items known to be used in drug trafficking and an unknown brown substance.
Deputy Dennis charged Angela K. Patrick of Monticello, Ky. with trafficking in a controlled substance-1st degree (less than 2 grams of methamphetamine), trafficking in marijuana (less than 8 ounces), possession of a controlled substance-3rd degree (drug unspecified) and for possession of drug paraphernalia. Patrick remained in the Wayne County Detention Center where she was already being held from her earlier arrest.
The investigation is being continued by the Sheriff’s Office with possible additional charges being filed at a later date pending lab testing.
