Three Arrested on Drug Charges

According to Wayne County Sheriff Tim Catron Deputies with the Sheriff’s Office has charged three local residents with drug trafficking and related charges after executing a search warrant.

While Deputies Derek Dennis and Travis Bell were conducting a drug investigation, they received information that led them to obtain a search warrant for a residence on College Street in Monticello. Upon execution of the warrant with the assistance of Monticello Police Officer Joey Hoover they recovered a small amount of methamphetamine, digital scales, several plastic baggies consistent with drug trafficking. Two male suspects also fled from the residence on foot at the time the warrant was being executed with one of these suspects eluding the deputies and the officer.

Deputy Derek Dennis charged and arrested John M. Hass of Monticello, Ky. for trafficking in a controlled substance-1st degree (less than 2 grams of methamphetamine), trafficking in a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school, possession of a controlled substance-3rd degree (drug unspecified), tampering with physical evidence, fleeing or evading Police-2nd degree (on foot) and for resisting arrest. Officer Joey Hoover charged and arrested Hass for fleeing or evading Police-2nd degree (on foot) and for resisting arrest.

Deputy Dennis charged and arrested Hunter L. Reinbold of Monticello, Ky. for trafficking in a controlled substance-1st degree (less than 2 grams of methamphetamine), trafficking in a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school and for tampering with physical evidence.

Deputy Travis Bell charged and arrested Donna E. Sullivan of Monticello, Ky. for trafficking in a controlled substance-1st degree (less than 2 grams of methamphetamine), trafficking in a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school and for tampering with physical evidence.

Deputy Bell also arrested Tori S. Stinson of Monticello, Ky. on a Wayne County District Court Warrant of Arrest for failure to appear for a Pre-Trial Conference on the underlying charges of leaving the scene of an accident and for a traffic violation.

Hass, Reinbold, Sullivan and Stinson were lodged in the Wayne County Detention Center.

Deputies Derek Dennis, Travis Bell with the assistance of Officer Joey Hoover are continuing their investigation with more arrest pending.
