The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Louisville Field Division has announced a reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the individual(s) responsible for the recent arson fire of Burkesville City Hall in Cumberland County.
ATF is offering rewards of up to $5,000 for information leading to the identification, arrest and conviction of person(s) responsible. The building in the Cumberland County seat housed the mayor’s office, the city clerk, the city council meeting room and the police department.
The fire occurred at approximately 5:45 Sunday morning. The Burkesville Police Department headquarters was located in the building, and officials believe the fire was intentionally set to destroy evidence in a criminal case as the fire was set near the police department’s evidence storage locker.
