Nine Wayne County Precincts will be open on Election Day

County Clerk Heather Piercy reports there have been nine precincts approved for election day voting in Wayne County.

The county had hoped that precincts could be opened, but have received approval for Beach Valley, Big Sinking, Colletts, Elk Creek, Kelley, Mill Springs, Mullentown, Oil Valley, and Union to vote on election day. If your precinct isn’t listed there are still multiple options available for you to vote.

The last day to request a mailed ballot is October 9th. All ballots being mailed back in by voters must be postmarked by November 3rd and must be received by the county clerk by Friday November 6th to be counted.

County Clerk Heather Piercy tells us that early in-person voting will begin Tuesday October 5th at the Wayne County Courthouse and will be available 8:00 til 4:30 on weekdays & 8:00 til noon on Saturdays. There is no need to schedule an appointment as there will be up to four stations available.

If you are not currently registered to vote and want to vote in the November election the last day to register is October 5th.
