More Charges Against a Wayne County Man

According to Wayne County Sheriff Tim Catron the continuing investigation by the Sheriff’s Office into an incident that occurred on January 14, 2020 in the Frazer community has led to several more additional charges being applied to a Wayne County man.

The January 14th incident started out as being a domestic violence dispute call which was later found to be where a female was being held against her will and not domestically related. On that date Deputies James Barnett and Cody Neal charged and arrested James Rose on multiple charges that included theft by unlawful taking or disposition of an auto, theft of firearms to assault on Police Officers.

Deputy Barnett’s continued investigation into this incident led him to obtain a Wayne County District Court Complaint Warrant of Arrest on January 21, 2020 for Rose. Barnett’s Complaint Warrant contained the additional charges on Rose included the felony charges of 1 count of robbery-1st degree, 2 counts of burglary-2nd degree, 2 counts of burglary-3rd degree, 1 count of unlawful imprisonment (enhanced), 2 counts of criminal mischief-3rd degree, 1 count of terroristic threatening-3rd degree, 1 count of theft by unlawful taking or disposition-all others (under $500.00), 1 count of possession of burglary tools and 1 count of menacing (enhanced).
