A pretrial conference has been set for a Wayne County man arrested on multiple charges earlier this month.
Court records show 27-year old Austin Foster has entered a not guilty plea to charges that include fleeing or evading police, resisting arrest, and criminal mischief. He was appointed an attorney & will appear for a pretrial conference on August 24th at 1pm.
The arrest citation states Monticello Police was attempting to serve an indictment warrant against Foster on Sunday August 9th when he fled on foot from the officer, after being ordered to the ground he allegedly grabbed a pedestal off a pedestal sink and threw it at the officer. The officer then tazed the subject taking him to the ground, where Foster continued to resist by not putting his hands behind his back and attempting to pull away from the officer. The report states he was then tazed 3 additional times before he gave up and was taken into custody.
