MPD Calls for Service 09-17-23
4:15 a.m. – Extra patrol Church Street (Frog Bottom area).
6:17 a.m. – Motorist assist on KY 90 East. Out of gas. Family member on their way with gas.
6:46 a.m. – Traffic stop on KY 90 East. Driver checked okay.
6:50 a.m. – Business security checks, extra patrol overnight: New’s Monticello Funeral Home, Community Based Intervention, CTS and Warner Fertilizer. All appear secure.
12:43 a.m. – Loud noise complaint mobile home residence on West Evelyn Avenue. Caller reports front door open, television “wide open” and residents screaming. Officer responded, TV turned down, all okay.
1:10 p.m. – Vehicle registration check.
1:28 p.m. – Report of neighbors arguing at mobile home residence on West Evelyn Avenue. One mad at the other for calling police earlier on loud noise complaint. Advice given to all involved.
5:16 p.m. – Caller reports seeing door open at Bell’s Welding & Fabricating Shop at West Columbia Avenue and North Second Street. Officer responded, was owner. All okay.
5:29 p.m. – Traffic stop on Elm Street. Citation issued.
6:27 p.m. – Complaint of shoplifter at Walmart. Store employees observed male leaving with numerous items inside cart without paying for them. Arrest made.
9:05 p.m. – Foot patrol inside Walmart.
11:59 p.m. – Traffic stop on KY 90 bypass. Driver checked okay.

MPD Calls for Service 09-16-23
1:58 a.m. – Officer out checking abandoned vehicle on KY 90 near county bus garage. Note on vehicle that local towing service coming after vehicle later this date.
3:49 a.m. – Report of suspicious vehicle on KY 167, last seen headed toward town. Caller reports vehicle pulling off side of roadway, sits a short time, then drives off. Negative contact.
6:35 a.m. – Business security checks, extra patrol overnight: Cash Express, Cumberland Printing and Davis Barber Shop. All appear secure.
10:40 a.m. – Request to speak with officer at MPD lobby. Advice given.
11:00 a.m. – Request to speak with officer. Caller reports her mother has been assaulted by boyfriend overnight. Mother going to be dropped off at Walmart by friend in next 10 minutes. Caller reported second call that mother is outside McDonald’s. Officer responded, negative contact.
1:14 p.m. – Request for officer at Dishman’s personal care facility on Worsham Lane regarding assault. Staff members advised on process to obtain criminal complaint for assault.
1:59 p.m. – Traffic stop on KY 90 East. Arrest made.
4:12 p.m. – Shoplifting complaint at Walmart. Perpetrator is female. Description of female and clothing provided, last seen walking toward Dollar Tree/Cumberland Crossing. Officers attempted to locate, negative contact. Security video to be reviewed for possible identification.
6:11 p.m. – Traffic stop at intersection of North 2nd Street and West Columbia Avenue. Driver checked okay.
7:30 p.m. – Request to speak with officer regarding child custody/child visitation issues. Few minutes later, complaining party called back, cancelled request to speak with officer, says issues resolved for now.
7:22 p.m. – Traffic stop at intersection of Ridgewood Avenue & Shrewsberry Avenue. Arrest made on active warrant.
8:41 p.m. – Report of arguing between male and female at residence in Mason Green Apartments. Caller reports female threatening male. Male left apartment prior to officer’s arrival. Verbal disagreement only.
9:21 p.m. – Report of shots being fired from truck on Tennessee Avenue. Caller reports truck is Ford Ranger but unsure of color of truck. Last seen headed east on KY 92. Area checked, negative contact. Extra patrol through the night.
11:44 p.m. – Report of harassment at residence on Frisby Street. Caller reports ex-boyfriend throwing rocks onto her roof. Caller states male left, went up Morris Hill. Area checked, negative contact.
